Ottawa, October 2018 –
Leslie Hossack’s new body of work, The Rome Photographs,
explores Benito Mussolini’s Fascist Rome.
A selection of photographs from this series will be published in 2019
in a book entitled Rebranded: Mussolini’s Rome 1922-1943.
The image below shows a detail on a large government building
constructed during Mussolini’s dictatorship. It implies a link between “Il Duce”
and the legendary founding of Rome and the ancient Roman Empire.
